The Executive Branch

Elected in a campus wide election to serve the student body

The Student Body President and Vice President are elected each April by the entire undergraduate population, here, at Purdue. Any student can petition to be placed on the ballot. An individual must obtain 1000 unique students' signatures sometime in late March.

Upon being elected, the Student Body President appoints the Cabinet and Board of Directors. These individuals serve as the President's primary movers on large initiatives and smaller, daily tasks. The Student Body Vice President oversees the Senate and chairs its meetings. The Purdue Student Senate is charged with passing legislation and resolutions on behalf of the Student Body. To learn more about the Purdue Student Senate, please click here.
